Summary of Job
The Adventures Thailand Base Leader creates and communicates the vision for the
Thailand Team and their ministry, provides spiritual and operational leadership, and leads
the Thailand Team in discipleship, evangelism, and church planting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● The Adventures Thailand Base Leader is responsible for the following ministerial
duties:
○ Creating and communicating the vision for the base and ministry
○ Creating and maintaining schedules, budgets, and plans for ministry,
WR/Passport team utilization, and base operations
○ Communicating the spiritual needs and ministry updates of the Thailand
Team with the Senior Manager of Long-Term Missions
○ Leading Thailand Team spiritually by example and through structured
prioritization of tasks and time
○ Meet one-on-one with team members for prayer, encouragement,
accountability, and discipleship
○ Developing each team member spiritually and practically in their specific
role
○ Fostering community, safety, trust, and productivity within the Thailand
Team
○ Casting vision and accountability for team fundraising goals
○ Develop a team of ministry partners to complete the fundraising goal.
(Amount to be determined). Through this process ministering to partners
through prayer and teaching biblical truths is essential. (I Corinthians 9:14,

● The Adventures Thailand Base Leader accomplishes these ministerial duties
through administrative tasks:
○ Facilitate language and culture learning
○ Oversight of base finances.
■ Financial planning, quarterly forecasting & budgeting.
■ Review financial reports.
■ Oversight of cash flow reconciliation receipts and expenses.
○ Preparing team meetings and prayer meetings
○ Fundraising and development skills.
■ Able to capitalize on vision trips and clearly communicate vision and
needs.
■ Partner with marketing department to deliver value propositions for
involvement.
■ Parent engagement.
○ Regular communication with the Long-Term Missions department and other
local partners
○ Set up and attend structured and regular worship, feedback, prayer,
counsel, discipleship, retreats, and edification for the Thailand Team
○ Strategic empowerment of the Thailand Team members

Competencies Required
● Professing Christian with established record of high Christian character, integrity,
servant leadership, maturity, and a positive attitude
● Character and Integrity –must have strong Christian moral principles, be
trustworthy, honest, fair, and display the Fruit of the Spirit in both word and action
● Servant leadership – must lead as Christ did with humility, considering their needs
above your own and making it your priority to improve those you serve
● Maturity –must be strong spiritually, responding appropriately with respect to the
time and place of every situation
● Positive attitude – must always be willing to do your best with what is asked of
you
● Understand and embrace the core values, culture, and ministry of Adventures in
Missions.
● Demonstrate leadership and vision in managing teams, major projects,
partnerships and initiatives
