Summary of Job

The primary purpose of this job is to “host” short term teams/squads that will be staying at the base.  These duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling of ministry, overall health of the teams, property management when necessary, overseeing any Ecuadorian employees dealing directly with the teams.  This is in essence an “Adventures Host” role for our teams/squads.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent attainment of “Short Term Mission Trip” goals and deliverables.

    • Manage participant care and delivery of ministry schedule.

    • Communication with Regional Logistics Rep, planning, scheduling and execution of trips.

    • Supervise trip leaders and missionaries.

    • Manages visitor and trip logistics, food and housing.

  • Ensure financial processes of the base, home office, and STM are attained.

  • Find and develop local ministry partners alongside the Ecuador team through discipleship, partnership agreements, development plans, short term trips, and regular feedback.

  • Assist in the training of visitors and participants in logistics, finances, culture and ministry.

  • Drive initiatives with base leaders and team that contribute to long-term operational excellence.

  • Able to give direct constructive feedback and correction when necessary.

  • Learn how to properly honor the Ecuadorian people and culture.

  • Demonstrate leadership and vision in managing staff groups, major projects and initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

  • Ability to look at situations from alternative points of view and problem solve toward win-win scenarios.

  • Will be an active part of both the Expat community and an active part of the local community.

  • Accountable to walking daily in humility, love, forgiveness, and unity.

  • Willing to teach locals how to live in Christian community.

Competencies Required

  • Professing Christian with established record of high Christian character,  integrity, servant leadership, maturity, and a positive attitude

  • Character and Integrity –must have strong Christian moral principles, be trustworthy, honest, fair, and display the Fruit of the Spirit in both word and action

  • Servant leadership – must lead as Christ did with humility, considering their needs above your own and making it your priority to improve those you serve

  • Maturity –must be strong spiritually, responding appropriately with respect to the time and place of every situation

  • Positive attitude – must always be willing to do your best with what is asked of you

  • Understand and embrace the core values, culture, and ministry of Adventures in Missions.

  • Ability and desire to teach local Thai how to live in Christian community
