Location: TBD, 4 Countries in close proximity to USA

 

Summary of Job

The Videographer Intern is driven to tell stories of God’s movement around the world, grow in your faith and make a meaningful impact. 

The Videographer Intern team of 3-5 people will experience rapid growth in your video and story-telling abilities as you travel to four countries in two months, staying in each country for 10-14 days. As an Intern team, you will work together to identify stories of how God is working and capture those stories in video. 

The team will receive coaching and training by Adventures in Missions’ Lead Videographer. Throughout the journey, you can also expect to grow in your faith as you see God move in big ways.

 

Tentatively Scheduled Itinerary

June 1st:              1-week training intensive on missions and media

June 8th:              Travel to COUNTRY 1

June 19th:            Debrief and travel to COUNTRY 2

July 2nd:              Travel to COUNTRY 3

July 16th:             Debrief and travel to COUNTRY 4

July 29th:             Travel back to headquarters for final debrief

July 31st:             Travel home


The Intern will be responsible for raising financial support to meet a support goal of $3,950. This will cover all airfare and travel, food, lodging, training, ongoing coaching, and debrief events.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Videographer Intern is responsible for the following duties:

    • Plans and performs video post-production tasks, including:

      • reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, logging, and rough cuts

      • audio adjustment, color correction, adding photographs, audio and music, and final editing using Adobe Premiere software

      • utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts

      • compresses/encodes video projects for output, making video products available in a variety of formats

      • observes brand standards, ensures consistency and relevancy to production

      • monitors the technical quality of end product

      • coordinates internal and external duplication services as required.  

    • Determines the content and format of productions, operates editing equipment, and implements a variety of positive and negative feedback from various sources as necessary.

    • Executes shoots on location including audio, camera operation and talent directions. 

      • Additionally handles assignments requiring special lighting, multiple locations, creativity, special audio needs, custom graphics and animation.  

    • Scouts shoot locations and assesses possible obstacles in filming and provides solutions or alternatives.  

    • Conducts interviews with participants, staff, and others while ensuring valuable sound bites are captured appropriately.  

    • Uploads video content to the Web and Media Library.  

    • Oversees the production of closed captions for Marketing and Communications video productions.

    • Other related duties as required.

Equipment

  • The Videographer Intern is responsible for providing the basic personal equipment required to successfully complete such an internship, including but not limited to, the following:

    • Personal computer and video equipment, camera(s), lenses, audio recorders, microphones, and hard drives for data storage.

 

Job Competencies

  • The Videographer Intern is responsible for the following competencies:

    • Proficient with computers and other peripheral devices, digital video cameras, microphones, and video editing hardware and software.  

    • Proficient using software appropriate to a marketing and communications office; including but not limited to Microsoft Office and G Suite.

    • Possess a strong interest in growing in their knowledge of video, photo and post-production process.

    • Posses a hunger for a strong relationship with the Lord and a desire to tell stories of His movement around the world.

    • Willingness to receive constructive feedback and coaching on video production.
